ReverseGUARD® is a patented, automotive safety product designed to reduce accidents while backing by providing information to the driver when their vehicle is in reverse. Four sensors built into the ReverseGUARD® system use the latest in ultrasonic technology to alert the driver of objects behind the vehicle. This was the first aftermarket application of this technology, introduced in 1999.
When the driver puts the vehicle in reverse,
ReverseGUARD® is automatically activated.
ReverseGUARD® will sense when objects are within six to eight feet of the rear of the vehicle and will alert the driver by emitting an intermittent alarm inside the vehicle. As the vehicle moves closer to the object, the alarm alerting the driver sounds more quickly until a steady alarm is heard at a distance of about 1.5 feet.
Built into a unique, patented license plate frame design, the original Classic ReverseGUARD® Frame system offers a neat, clean OEM-look and a no-holes-in-bumper installation. It is available in Chrome or a Black painted design. The
ReverseGUARD® Half-Frame system has all the same technical features of the Classic
ReverseGUARD®, but can accommodate most state-specific laws that require that a license plate frame not obscure any portions of the license plate.
For specialty applications,
ReverseGUARD® is also available in a bumper-mount system and under-bumper system. We also have systems designed for heavy-duty commercial applications, and we can custom design a system to meet your needs. A camera system is also available that incorporates a camera into the ultrasound detection system.

Camera System
The ReverseGUARD® Complete Camera system, built into the
ReverseGUARD® Chrome Half-Frame, includes 4 ultrasound sensors and a
1/3” CCD sensor NTSC Video System. The camera system can be installed
with an optional video monitor or OEM installed navigation system with a
specialty interface.
